Tuning in. A lot of what I do is to tune in to what feels right for me to teach in class.
Sometimes it is inspired by what people around me are going through, sometimes it’s what makes me mad, sometimes it’s a memory I go back to by choice or not. Sometimes I feel nothing. Sometimes I’d feel strongly about a song or a vibe with no clue why, then to hear students tell me it’s what they needed.
Listening is an intimate access point to connect. Not only with others but to ourselves.
